Police has fired teargas to disperse a group of people demonstrating at Kisekka Market.

The group is demanding that Kampala central MPMohamed Nsereko be released.

They had already started burning tyres when police swung in action.

There is heavy deployment at the market to quell any more demonstrations.

But there were reports that two women suffocated after inhaling teargas and have been admitted at Mulago hospital.

A suspected rebel who was injured by a teargas canister is still undergoing treatment at Mulago referral hospital.

The suspect indentified as Moses Kamuswaga is a resident of Kanyange LC1 zone Maganjo in Kawempe division.

His arrest comes after a teargas canister went off prematurely at night in his room.

On search police recovered four bullets, six unexploded tear gas canisters and pepper spray.

Kamuswaga who has refused to talk to the media is being guarded by police and has no attendant.

His arrest brings to 11 the number of people in custody linked to Revolutionary Force for the Liberation of Uganda rebel group.

President General of the Conservative Party, John Ken Lukyamuzi told newsmen that President Museveni, whom he called a dictator, has abused his office many times. He says that Museveni who has ruledUgandafor over 26 years caused war in Great Lakes Region, looted goods in Democratic Republic of Congo, and mismanagedUganda’s economy.
Lukyamuzi, who is also the MP for Lubaga South, adds that Museveni abused state funds through Corruption, nepotism, extravagancy, buying teargas and Fighter jets.
He says that Museveni’s ministers have defrauded the state. Some ministers in Museveni’s government such as Amama Mbabazi, Sam Kuteesa, Khiddu Makubuya and Syda Bbumba were recently asked to resign over corruption. And indeed some of the ministers have resigned.
