She says if the MPs indulge in time wasting this will be derailing the the work of parliament and denying Ugandans their rights to be heard in the parliament. Kadaga added that this will help the parliament attend to all important matters and perform to the expectation of the electorates.

She has called on the 10th parliament to fight against corruption, promote human rights, promote gender sensitive policy environment, advocate for the productivity especially among the youths and curb unemployment among others. She says the MPs in the 10th parliament should be role models in character, unbeatable courage, and incorrupt conduct and have self-discipline.

The speaker also called for the separation of powers from all the government Arms of governance to enable a smooth running of the business in parliament.
