]]> It seems policemen in Uganda have been terrified after section of motorcycle riders threatened to kill them over arrests. The motorcycle riders locally known as boda bodas complain that the police over arrests them and impounds their motorcycles.

One of the boda boda operators who preferred not to be named in this report in order to talk freely said that the police officers ask them money while they are on road and when they don’t give them bribes they end up being arrested.

The police officer in charge of Old Kampala police station, Dominic Okello however says that the motorcycle riders are arrested for disregarding traffic regulations and added that the  cyclists had caused many accidents within the city due to none compliance to traffic rules amd regulations.
