Kenya Airways

Jinja West member of parliament Moses Balyeku has called upon government to intervene in the situation where Kenya airways exploits Ugandans by charging high travel costs despite Kenya being a member of the East African Community. This while presenting a matter of National concern at the floor of parliament this morning where he explains that the travel charges by the Kenya airline seem to be exorbitant compared to the distance from Uganda to Kenya.

On the same point, Lwemiyaga member of parliament Theodore Sekikubo says it’s unfortunate that Uganda as a country that had its own airlines is suffering with transport means on interest of leaders who had selfish desires when they disposed off the Uganda airlines.

In her response, the speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga has ordered the ministry of transport and works as soon as it’s confirmed to work on this issue and also called upon Ugandans to always support their facilities once in place saying that the Uganda airlines had not received maximum  support by the time it was in place.
