Kiwere says as they prepare for this year’s film festival, they are concerned at the high levels of piracy and hope the government can do more to alleviate the problem.

Amakula is hosting a three months international film festival starting September 2^nd in Kampala at national theater and will later be rolling the festival to Jinja, Masaka and Lira as they showcase all the best films the country has as they teach those who are willing to act, produce as well as direct films.

Kiwere also wants the government to fully cut off taxes on all equipment used in making films and not only on cameras.

He tells journalists that that they are planning to host the east African film makers conference geared at lifting the region’s industry to greater heights.
