According to the Kabarole District Education officer, Balinda Christopher, numerous vacancies for teachers were advertised so as to solve a long-existing problem of insufficient teachers in primary schools.

The education officer says that the newly enlisted teachers are to be posted to sub counties which have been hit harder by the teacher shortage citing Kabonero, Kasenda, Karangura and Hakibale among others.

Balinda says that the education sector in the district still has challenges of insufficient classrooms and poor sanitation since some schools lack enough latrines and clean water.
