]]> Members of Parliament have asked the government to bring to parliament the United Nations resolutions on Road safety so as they are adopted by Uganda government to reduce on the road accidents in the country.

The MPS who included the woman mp for Serere district Alice Alaso said that Uganda loses about 3000 people in accidents per year in the country.

She said that government should implement traffic regulations to ensure safety for the road users.

The mp for Kaberamaido county Dr. Omona Kenneth  said that government has to monitor traffic officers on high way especially on roads like Kampala –Gulu road – Juba  because in every two weeks on this road there is an accident and lives lost.

He said that some traffic officers on the road  are not disciplined  and their misconduct are contributing to the increasing road carnage.
