Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has appointed a committee of 14 leaders to manage the affairs of Usafi market on its behalf. Meeting the leaders at City hall in Kampala, the KCCA Executive Director Jennifer Musisi says that the committee is to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Authority that is to stiffen the development plans for the market.

Early this year, KCCA finally took over the management of Usafi market and Taxi Park after settling the ownership controversy that had shrouded the market since 2011. Musisi says that the Authority is to provide 10% of the revenue collected in Usafi market to boost the welfare of the leaders.
