Former President’s pictures to grace Independence anniversary celebrations at Kolo

The government is to put up pictures of all former presidents of the country at Kololo independence grounds.

This has been revealed by the information minister Mary Karooro Okurut during a guided tour of journalists at the venue.

The minister who said all was set for the day further noted that the picture of the current speaker of parliament is also to be included being the first female speaker in Africa.

She says all the pictures will be put up before the Independence Jubilee next Tuesday.
She also said 16 heads of states have already confirmed attendance with several other dignitaries expected.

Police block supporters of opposition parties

Police have blocked the supporters of opposition parties from entering Katwe play grounds where an opposition rally was due to take place.
The rally was being organised by the Activists for Change (A4C) members. The venue where the rally was meant to take place is surrounded by soldiers and policemen.

The coordinator of A4C, Mathias Mpuuga has told journalists that the police told them that it cancelled the rally due to security reasons.

Our reporters in the area report that there is heavy deployment in Katwe and the nearby areas. The spokesperson of police Asuman Mugyenyi says that they have intelligence information that some elements of opposition leaders were planning to use the rally to disrupt peace.

His music might have been stagnant but singer Rapper KS Alpha is still a big force in the lives of very beautiful women.

The day was yesterday and the venue was Hotel African inKampala.

Rapper KS did not care about on lookers as he squeezed a babe only identified as Nadia from left to right. The singer was cerebrating his 25^th birthday. Rapper KS is known to be a guy with a queue of women but it seems Nadia has conquered his heart.

All the time his eyes were on her and the sexy girl also put her eyes on him.

Makerere University graduation enters day two

The 62^nd graduation ofMakerereUniversity has entered day two today. Hundreds of parents and guardians have been witnesses as hundreds of students received their diplomas, certificates and degrees.

A number of members of parliament, security operatives, members of the academia world, business community and the general public attended the second day of the graduation.

Over 221 students have received first class degrees and 41 PhDs. The former South African President, Thabo Mbeki is expected to attend theMakerereUniversitygraduation ceremony on Thursday this week.

All the graduands who cleared all requirements have received their transcripts at the graduation. The university management banned cameras and guns at the venue of the graduation.

The only people who were allowed to appear at the venue with cameras were journalists from the New Vision, WBS TV, Bukedde FM, Red Pepper and Onion news tabloid among other media houses.

MP Lukyamuzi fails to make victory party

Lubaga South MP, John Ken Lukyamuzi aka ‘the man’ never stops to amuse people, especially those around him.

On Tuesday evening he threw a victory bash for his campaigners who helped him to reclaim his seat during the February 2011 parliamentary polls. The bash took place at Club Volts on Entebbe road.

However what surprised his campaign agents was the entrance fee to access the venue. Having spent the whole of Tuesday morning moving around Lubaga South inviting his agents for a bash, they were disappointed to find the club collecting 5,000 shillings per ahead.

As expected, most of them went away disappointed. By the time our informers left the club premises, less than 10 supporters of Lukyamuzi had entered into the show. So Lukyamuzi’s bash was a total flop.

Bebe Cool visits Bobi Wine’s One Love Beach

People can abuse and hate each other but once friends they always remain friends until probably they die. Well, few people expect that Bebe Cool can sit down with Bobi Wine and they talk at length. The venue was One Love Beach in Busabala. No one expected that Bebe Cool could ever visit it.

But the Gagamel boss surprised every one last night when he drove to Busabala with his wife and chatted for a few hours with Bobi Wine’s wife Barbie. One of the workers at Bobi Wine’s beach, only identified as Suzan tells us that it seems Bebe Cool and Bobi Wine have started burying their bad feelings after a long time of not talking.

Because if they have not done this, how would you expect Bebe Cool to drive to One Love Beach and the two meet Barbie. We have been told that Bebe Cool and his wife had gone there to apologise to Barbie for the recent reckless statement Bebe reportedly uttered against Bobi Wine’s family.

Judith Babirye in single music spree

It is a matter of weeks before Uganda’s music loving fans forget about events in which dozens of singers perform on the same stage, one after another.

This is because gospel singer, Judith Babirye has organised a single music gala in which she will sing and dance alone on stage until the show will be over.

The venue for the show is Nakivubo stadium and the date is December 26^th this year. Guys also brace yourselves, we have been told that super models from all bands will be at the do only to shake what their mothers gave them before Judith jumps on stage.

Judith Babirye will sing all her old and new songs live on stage and no any other singer will co sing with her. So all gospel music fans-you know where you will enjoy it from, the venue will be Nakivubo stadium.
