Police arrests 47-year old man for defiling own daughter

Police is holding a 47 years old man for defiling and impregnating his 16 year old daughter.

Clement Kashiiza, a resident of Lyantonde Village in Lyantonde district, was arrested after residents alerted police that he was planning to force the victim to abort.

Kashiiza had been living with his daughter since 2011 when his wife Margret Kashiiza abandoned their marital home over domestic disagreements.

According to the victim, Kashiiza started forcing her into committing incest a few months after her mother left her father’s home.

She says that the suspect has always warned her against telling anyone about what was going on up to when she was last night told that she was to abort the five months pregnancy.

Martin Lubega Lyantonde District Criminal Investigations Officer says that Police is waiting for a medical examination report as investigations into the matter continue.

Beware of thieves using needles to sedate their victims

Don’t just shake the hands of a stranger. We received this from a concerned person and thought we would share.
Please be informed that armed thieves have recently come up with a more “efficient” method of disarming people.
They extend their Arm for a handshake after asking for directions, making it seem as though
they are thanking their victim but they have a needle, dipped in some sort of sedative, under their sleeve that makes one feel drowsy.
When their victim falls asleep, this seems to the general public as one who has fainted; they go ahead and move their victim to a convenient location posing as Good Samaritans, only to rob them!
Other than the loss of personal effects, there is also the risk of Contracting HIV/Aids or
hepatitis since the needles in use are highly Unlikely to be sterile!

Uganda lawyers go to Oslo over terrorism

Uganda criminal lawyers have gone to Oslo, Norway to attend a terrisom case against Anders Brevik’s.

The lawyers Samuel Muyizzi and Caleb Alaka would be in Oslo between 14^thApril to 23^rd April 2012.

The terrorism case is against Anders Breivik’s attack of the 22^nd July 2011 at the government buildings in Oslo and shootings at Utoya Island in Norway which claimed over 70 lives where the Uganda Young Democrats’ (UYD) Samuel Muyizzi and Ritah Nansubuga narrowly escaped death.

Samuel Muyizzi who will attend as a witness and victim will be accompanied by his attorney Caleb Alaka. The trial which begins on 16^th April, 2012, is expected to take over 10 weeks.
