Some of  the Members of Parliament have expressed mixed reactions on reports that President Museveni will  win with  80% in Northern Uganda in forthcoming presidential elections. The woman MP for Kaberamaido district Florence Ibi  says the president  promising hoes and sanitary pads for the women in Northern Uganda is a shame after 30 Years in government. She says that these are not the best items  people of Northern Uganda deserve.
The MPs noted that at-least northerners deserve computers. They say since time immemorial woman have not been using pads but small clothes and they are used to this condition. Florence Ibi (FDC) asked the people of Northern Uganda not to be manipulated saying there is nothing new the current president Museveni can add on what he has failed to do for the last 30 years.

The State minister for Northern Uganda Rebecca Ateng (NRM) says president Museveni is a super power in Northern Uganda because  he has ushered peace and development; he will live to be remembered and that they are sure of 85% win in Northern Uganda, adding that that giving hoes and pads to families in Northern Uganda is a sign of a fatherhood.

Kalungu West MP Joseph Gonzaga Sewungu (DP) says  Amama Mbabazi is holding on to former presidential candidates who won in Northern.
