Parliament sets up committee to check shoddy work at Karuma and Isimba dams.

By Isaac Senabulya on October 3, 2016 MP for Lwemiyaga County; Theodore Sekikubo moved a motion against the persistent shoddy works and p defects on the ongoing construction of Karuma and Isimba dams, MP for Ndorwa East, Parliament has set up a select committee to investigate shoddy work at Karuma and Isimba power dam construction, shoddy work at these two power dams which is costing the country 1.4 trillion shillings, Wilfred Niwagaba while seconding the motion said that the steel that is being used at Karuma is imported from China; no steel is from Uganda steel industries.
