Uganda has registered over 133 COVID-19 deaths, with 14,574 cumulative infections.
Faustine Etilu, the proprietor of Teso Coaches, has died of COVID-19, his younger brother who doubles as their family spokesman Jovas Odikor has confirmed.
“It is true. Papa has died at Mulago National Referral Hospital where he was rushed to on Monday after days of being at Soroti isolation ward,” Odikor told the media.
Odikor said that Etilu died this morning as doctors were fighting to save his life.
Etilu, born in Amuria district, is the pioneer businessman to open a bus company and he is a famous contractor who has built a number of government schools in the Teso region.
He was admitted last week after testing positive for COVID-19.
