The queuing for petrol in Uganda by UN officials

 

Fuel shortage in Uganda has affected transportation of goods and people. The most affected areas include Gulu, northern Uganda. Hundreds of drivers including some UN officials were seen on Monday in Gulu queuing for petrol.

Many fuel stations in Uganda have in the past two weeks received fuel in less quantity than what they usually get. Trade minister Kyambadde Amelia says the current fuel shortage in Uganda is due to less importation of fuel from Mombasa, Republic of Kenya.

Most business people, institutions of higher learning and companies claim that the petrol shortage has affected their operations. The fuel shortage has greatly retarded the transport businesses in Uganda.
