Two million children not attending school in Uganda due to child labour

Over 2,750,000 children in the Republic of Uganda are not attending school due to increasing cases of child labour.

About 1,400,000 children out of the 2,750,000 children in Uganda are working under dangerous conditions. The ministry for Labour in Uganda this week revealed that over 200 children were rescued from child labour by the Uganda Police in Eastern Uganda.

Lack of good governance in Uganda is to blame for high cases of child labour and most parents in Uganda are too poor to look after or send their kids to school.

Child Labour is also paying taxes which president Museveni’s government use to fund foreign wars, buy guns, europlanes, buy teargas and ammunitions to suffocate opposition and Pro-Democracy Activities.
