Uganda Communications Commission to have ICT public dialogue in West Nile

The Uganda Communications Commission has organised a public dialogue in West Nile aimed at raising awareness about the role of Information and Communication Technology in the development of communication in Uganda.

The dialogue will take place in the three districts in the West Nile and those are Arua, Nebbi and Koboko and this consumer empowerment activity is has been condially organised with the Consumer Education
Trust.

The Management of UCC has said in a press statement that the dialogue in Arua will take place Kamure Park Hotel, in Koboko it will take place in Delambience Hotel and in Nebbi it will take place in Gaf
Apartments and Entertainment Center Hotel.

UCC says the dialogue in Koboko will take place on June 28 2010, the diologue in Arua will take place on July 1 2010 all between 9:00 am and 10:00pm.

UCC says however the dialogue in Nebbi will take place between 1pm and 6pm on July 4 2010.

UCC says all civil society groups, district leaders and the public are expected to attend.

One of the key objectives of the commission is to promote consumer awareness and protect interest of the consumers in the communications sector.
