Uganda Cranes travel to Zimbabwe for a friendly ahead of Botswana clash in Africa Cup of Nations qualifier

Uganda Cranes coach Milutin Micho Sredojevic has named 19 men in a squad that will leave Monday morning to Harare and Francistown to play Zimbabwe and Botswana on May 31 and June 4 respectively.

The Uganda Cranes will be welcomed by the FIFA advance team of Finance Director Decolas Kiiza who left on Saturday morning. Cranes who will fly aboard Ethiopian Airlines, will be joined by three players in Harare and these are; Denis Onyango, Tonny Mawejje and Yassar Mugerwa

Ethiopian based goalkeeper Robert Odongkara and defender Isaac Isinde will link up with the team via Addis Ababa before connecting to Zimbabwe.

Melvyn Lorenzen a German based footballer from Werder Bremen who has been training with the team also featured in the Cranes named squad.

The Immigration office and  Hon. Mike Mukula an ardent football fan have been of great value in securing a National passport for Melvyn.

However, there is still a missing paper which should be issued by the German Government to permit the player to feature for Uganda Cranes against Botswana on June 4 2016. The Traveling staff include;

Team players: Denis Onyango, Robert Odongkara, Denis Iguma, Joseph Ochaya, Luwagga Kizito, Okwi Emma, Wasswa Hassan Mawanda, Juuko Murushid, Sekisambu Erisa, Kasirye Davis, Massa Geoffrey, Miya Faruku, Lorenzen Melvyn, Walusimbi Godfrey, Aucho Khalid, Lubega Idrisa,  Isinde Isaac, Tony Mawejje and Yassar Mugerwa.
