Uganda government advised to elect responsible cabinet ministers

Law experts have advised on the new cabinet that can foster national unity. This comes just a few days the country waits to see a new cabinet that the president is expecting to name any time.

Bruce Kyerere, a legal analyst points out some of the key issues for consideration in the selection of the members of the cabinet.

Kyerere says ability to talk issues such corruption that has been the cancer in most public sectors, intolerance, increased cost of living among other should top the list.

He adds the need for sourcing a cabinet beyond party boundaries and interests is key if national unity is to be achieved.

As the country waits for the presidents’ cabinet, the President has already appointed the Minister for Kampala Capital Authority, Beatrice Wabudeya, Vice President, Edward Kiwanuka Sekandi and Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi.
