Uganda is to fast-tracking security measures at EntebbeInternationalAirport

 

Presiding over the civil aviation authority’s 20-year master plan consultative meeting at Imperial Royale Hotel on Thursday, Transport minister, Abraham Byandala revealed to the public that the Government of Uganda is to fast-tracking security measures at EntebbeInternationalAirport.

Several airport staff and air transport stakeholders attended the meeting. The redesign of the airport proposes an expanded international terminal, new domestic passenger terminal and a new cargo area.

The design further proposes creation of a new aircraft maintenance area, new fuel tanks, new and larger taxi ways and new aircraft aprons  face-lifting the airport to international standards.
