Uganda Local Government Association house to cost 2.7 billion shillings


The Uganda Local Governments Associations has signed a contract worth 2.7 billion shillings with Pioneer Contractors Ltd to complete the construction of ULGA house in Najjanankumbi.

The President of the Association, John Karazarwe who signed the deal on behalf of the Association has said in a news briefing that the structure under construction will be a 4-storeyed building and will house all the offices of the association.

Karazarwe says that this is so far the biggest achievement that the association has registered and with such a land mark achievement, the Uganda Local Government Association is destined for bigger achievements.

He says this is because the completion of ULGA house clearly demonstrates the positive development of the association and though young how it is quickly maturing into a respectable association.

ULGA is the umbrella association that brings together all the various lower local governments to help them share the various challenges they face and how finding solutions to those various challenges and ULGA house is set to be new home of the association.
