Uganda MPs want probe into Kenya bomb blasts

The Members of Parliament in Uganda have called for an investigation into the bomb blast that killed at least five people on June 13.

The bomb blast took place at Uhuru Park in Nairobi, Kenya during a prayer meeting of the Kenya constitutional review campaign.

The MP for Makindye East, Michael Mabikke says the government of Kenya should find out how and why the blasts occurred.

He says the government should investigate and arrest the people who were behind the blasts. The MP says all Ugandans are deeply troubled by the blasts occurring in an East African country like Kenya.

Mabikke requests the government of Kenya to initiate thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the bomb blasts.

He described the blasts as dangerous and says his political party the Social Democratic Party (SDP) mourns the victims of the blast.

The Prime Minister of Kenya, Raila Odinga says the government is investigating the cause of the blasts.
