Uganda National Planning Authority to conduct Human Resource survey

The National Planning Authority is set to conduct a human resource survey to know the number of Ugandans who are not employed and the skills they have.

Dr. Wilberforce Kisamba Mugerwa

Speaking during the annual general meeting for human resources managers at Sheraton hotel, the chairman of the authority Dr. Wilberforce Kisamba Mugerwa said currently, the data available at the ministry of gender is not reliable because of the methods that were used to gather it.

Kisamba says that the planning authority cannot plan well for the country in terms of employment before knowing the people who are unemployed.

Meanwhile Kisamba has advised Ugandans to be committed on their work if the country is to benefit from the East African Community integration.

He says that according to the recent survey, Ugandans are portrayed as lazy people compared to Kenyans and Tanzanians.

Kisamba says if Ugandan’s don’t change their attitudes towards work then they will remain unemployed.
