The policy provides that no one shall be denied employment, promotion, or other employment benefits basing on his or her HIV status.

The launching of the policy was preceded by MPs, staff of parliament and those from Mildway centre.

Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga says there is a lot of stigma in society yet many people living with HIV/AIDS are productive and experts in certain fields.

Kadaga said this while launching the policy as part 2010 parliamentary HIV/AIDS awareness week.
