Most of the Petrol Stations in Kampala have run out of fuel due to little supply from suppliers. This has led to increased taxi fares.

Other towns in Uganda have also run out of fuel, especially petrol.

The Minister of Uganda for Energy, Simon D’ujanga says the government is doing whatever is possible to reverse the situation.

Total Uganda on Friday circulated a memo to media houses, explaining that although they had started receiving supplies of diesel, petrol supplies are still low.

By today morning, petrol prices stood at 3,000 shillings from sh2, 900 on Friday, while diesel is at 2,300 shillings from 2,250 on Friday.
