Uganda Security Minister proposes the creation of a National Council of State

The Minister of Security Patrick Amama Mbabazi has proposed the creation of a national council of state.

The council of state would be composed of a body of retired politicians who feel they wanted to continue contributing to the country’s politics.

The proposal for the council of state was first brought by Amama during a constitution assembly that elected to draft the constitution in 1994.

Mean while the UPDF Air force has re-assured the public that they should not worry about jet fighters flying over the capital.

Since Monday this week the fighter jets have been seen flying over the city rising panic and questions.

Air force spokesperson captain Tabaro Kichocho says the jet pilots are undergoing training.
