Uganda to construct longest railway line in Africa

 

The Prime Minister of Uganda, John Patrick Mbabazi says the Republic of Uganda has reached a stage to use her revenues from the recently discovered Oil sector to improve on its infrastructure especially roads, railway and electricity in addition to modernizing the agricultural sector.

Mbabazi made the remarks in a meeting with the Swedish minister for finance, Anders Borg who visited Mbabazi’s office in Kampala. The Swedish finance minister was in Kampala to discuss business opportunities with Uganda government.

 

Uganda’s Prime Minister says Uganda put in place all the necessary laws to manage the oil resource. He says that Uganda Government plans to construct the railway line connecting to Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo and the Republic of South Sudan to facilitate trade and investment.
