Uganda to produce 17,000 megawatts of power

Uganda is to produce 17000 megawatts of electricity by 2015.

The increased power generation is to help increase productivity and boast industrial development.

Speaking at the ongoing East African Investment conference, President Museveni noted that inadequate energy has been one of the major constrains affecting business across the region.

He expresses confidence that with increased power generation economic development is certain.

Meanwhile the President attacked civil servants for always attempting to fail government programs aimed at increasing energy as he explains.
