Government has received software to aid in the tracking and registration of fire arms brokers in the country.

The software obtained from the United Nations regional center for Peace and disarmament will as well help Government to establish and track individuals and companies that engage in brokerage of fire arms.

While receiving the software at his ministry, internal affairs state minister James Baba has said while as there that there many fire arms brokers, they operate illegally.

Ahmed Wafuba, the chairperson of the council against proliferation of small arms has expressed fears that if these brokers are not regulated the country’s security might be at risk.
