Uganda Youths urged to embrace government development programs

The Kabarole district youth Chairperson Basiima Hidden has challenged the youths to their strength in Uganda’s decision making.

Addressing a youth’s council at the RDC board room at Boma recently Basiima revealed that the youths constitute 59% of the country’s population but have not been involved in government’s prosperity for all programs.

He observed that the government has for the past years sidelined the youth by not engaging them in developmental projects to help them improve their income.

He unveiled that the youths projects that were lobbied from the president’s office that include a hatchery, hydro form machine, a tractor a youth centre among others have been have been granted.

He however clarified that the projects that target benefiting the youth are to be controlled by Kabarole youth Association.

Bwire Collins the former district youths chairperson advised the youth leaders not to focus on sports but to mobilize and empower the youths to join income generating projects.
