Robert Kyagulanyi of the National Unity Platform, who is expected in Kaabong, Kotido, and Moroto today, will for the first time as a politician enter this Karamoja sub-region to canvass for votes.

Other presidential aspirants like Nobert Mao of the Democratic Party, is in Kasese on his first day of the campaign trail, Henry Tumukunde will be in Mbarara, Kiruhura, Kazo, and Ibanda while Patrick Amuriat of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) is expected in Amolator, Dokolo, and Alebtong.
Fred Mwesigye, one of the Independent candidates, will remain in Kampala, where he seems set to remain for the next two months according to the Electoral Commission’s schedule; which he consented to.
John Katumba, another Independent, is expected in Moyo, Adjumani, and Amuru and Willy Mayambala who is also an independent is likely to be in Bukomansibi, Butambala, and Kalungu.
Joseph Kabuleta, another Independent, is scheduled to be in Moyo and Adjumani while Nancy Kalembe the only woman aspirant is scheduled to be in Kapchorwa, Bukwo, and Kween.
