We don’t know if all Ugandans are aware of a company called Monsanto which produces over 90% of the worlds Genetically Modified Seeds. The genetically modified seeds are sometimes called “Improved” Seeds.

The improved seeds or genetically modified seeds are being heavily promoted inUgandawith the support from the Bill Gates Foundations (who are the major shareholders in Monsanto).

 The Monsanto is reportedly buying upUgandaorAfrica’s traditional seeds and replacing them with the genetically modified seeds.

If you check in the villages you will find it harder and harder to get traditional African maize, beans and groundnut seeds etc. Monsanto’s seeds don’t produce.

 The critics of the genetically modified seeds argue that the new technology is against God’s Nature and that Monsanto activities must be stopped!

InUgandagroups of opinion leaders have come out to expose the companies working with Monsanto in the production of genetically modified seeds.

The ‘enemies’ of Monsanto allege that the use of genetically modified seeds can cause Cancer, allergies, Birth defects, and skin disorders.
