Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) Spokesperson, Dan Alinange has expressed concern over the growing habit of people vandalizing raised road signs along newly constructed high ways.

Alinange confirms that road signs along Hoima, Kabale-Kisoro, Malaba, Northern by-pass among others have been vandalized which has increased accidents along those routes as drivers cannot tell what is ahead.

The officials at the authority allege that the act is championed by scrap dealers as they search for material used to make new products.

He appeals to the general public to take full responsibility over the watch of these posts of road sign in order to cub down the habit of stealing the road sign posts.
