UPC president, Amb. Olara Otunu has showed displeasure about the poor performance of PLE by pupils in UPE schools saying 50% of these schools did not register any first grade which is a huge disappointment to the nation and those that fund the programme.

Otunu also continues to reveal that the rate of primary school dropout is alarming at which give no reason for govt to continue funding the programme.

He however calls for a drastic review of this programme to cause positive change for the beneficiaries.
