UPDF to withdraw from south sudan in May

Uganda is set to withdraw its troops from South Sudan because AU Security council has agreed to send a combined force to stabilize the country.

This comes at a time when negotiations are going on in Ethiopia.

Foreign Affair Minister Sam Kuteesa says a total of twelve Countries including South Africa, Sudan Algeria, Chad Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Nigeria among others have agreed to send their Troops under AU mandate within two months from now.

Kuteesa adds that by May this year the first contingent of UPDF soldiers will withdraw from South Sudan to pave way for the combined force of African Union to be deployed
