URA boss Kagina asks Ugandans to fight against child abuse

The Uganda Revenue Authority Commissioner General Allen Kagina has challenged Ugandans to rise and break the silence on issues regarding child abuse.

She was today opening the URA Open Minds Forum at the Kampala Serena Hotel under the theme ‘ break the silence, stop child sexual abuse and trafficking.

Kagina wants safety for children

Kagina noted that many children continue to suffer in silence and will continue to do so if Ugandans do not rise to take action at personal level.

She also noted that children are the most vulnerable in society and that it’s the obligation of everyone to protect them.

Kagina also warns that unless the children that have been abused are rehabilitated and allowed to heal; they are likely to grow into abusers, making a dangerous vicious cycle.
