Youth are invited to apply for nutrition& hunger issues in United States.

 

To encourage the growth of health-focused youth gardens, the National Gardening Association (NGA) recognizes outstanding programs through the Healthy Sprouts Awards, which are sponsored by Gardner’s Supply Company.

These awards support school and youth garden programs that aim to teach children about nutrition and the issue of hunger in the United States.

Eligible applicants include schools or organizations that intend to garden in the year of award with at least 15 children between the ages of 3 and 18.

Applicants will be selected according to the demonstrated relationship between the garden program and nutrition and hunger issues in the United States.

An expected 20 awards will be given to schools or organizations who will receive gift certificates to purchase gardening materials, nutrition lessons with NGA’s Eat a Rainbow Kit, seeds and literature.
