Youth demand for their fund

Government warned to immediately release money meant for the youth lively hood
fund to stop the intended demonstration by the youth.
The call was made by eastern region youth mp Peter Ogwang while speaking to
journalists at parliament over the failure by ministry of finance to
release the said funds.
Ogwang says that the idea of youth livelihood fund was welcome by all
the youth in the country with the hope that it will help them unlike
the youth venture capital fund that was initially initiated by
government.
He said that parliament already approved the money and so he does not
see the reason why the ministry of finance up to now has failed to
release the money.
He threatened to mobilize the youth from the whole country and demand
for their money.
Government relocated Shs19.5 billion from Ministry of Finance to Ministry of Gender which was going to manage the youth livelihood project for the next five years. The allocation of Shs19.5 billion was meant to kick-start the project this financial year.
