A social media post circulating on TikTok, Facebook, and WhatsApp claims that Solomon Kampala Kyagulanyi, Robert Kyagulanyi’s eldest son, has joined the United States Army.
One of the posts, published on 12 October 2025 by TikTok user @muwonge.carlos, shows a photo of Solomon Kampala in what appears to be a U.S. Army uniform, followed by a separate video clip of him running.
The post attracted significant engagement, garnering 11.9k likes, 2,563 shares, and 559 comments.
A similar claim was shared on Facebook the same day by a page identified as Bolingo 256. That post accumulated 5.2k likes, 737 comments, and 65 shares, further amplifying the claim across platforms.
The posts present the visuals as proof that Solomon Kampala has joined the U.S. military.
Findings
Using the Debunk Verifier, a fact-checking tool with AI features, we posed a question in the Ask Debunk Bot feature, “Did Solomon Kampala Kyagulanyi Join the US Army?” and the Bot’s results stated that there’s no credible evidence to support the claim that Solomon Kampala Kyagulanyi has joined the United States Army.
We checked Solomon Kampala Kyagulanyi’s official X (formerly Twitter) profile and found that he identifies himself as a professional athlete. There is no mention of military service or enlistment in the U.S. Army. We also reviewed his Instagram and found no posts or images indicating that he has joined the U.S. Army.
We conducted a Google Reverse Image Search on the image used in the viral posts and found no photos of Solomon in a US military uniform. There were no news reports or any form of publication linking us to his recruitment, induction ceremonies, or official military records.
We visited the U.S. Army website and found no evidence that Solomon Kampala Kyagulanyi has joined the Army. Enlisting in the U.S. Army is a formal process that can be verified through official statements, induction or graduation ceremonies, and military identification, and we found that none of these elements are present online.

The viral posts rely on misleading visuals, speculation, and narrative framing to create a false impression of military enlistment.
