31 year old, Naomi Karungi was on a Training Mission when the helicopter Jet ranger AF302 crashed.

According to UPDF spokesperson Brig. Richard Karemire, the jet AF 301 was on a training mission when it crashed on a hill.

Karungi joined the army after completing her degree in Social Work in Economics at Makerere University. Following the completion of her cadet training, she joined flight school at Soroti Flying School. She later rised to the rank of Major in the army and was a trusted pilot who flies helicopters.

Eliaquim Mangala joined Manchester City from FC Porto for $A53.5 million (£30m) finishing and has finished five years with the Manchester side club.

The 28-year-old France defender has not played a first team game since February 2018. He made 79 appearances for City since his arrival from Porto in 2014 picking up a Premier League and two League Cup winners medals.

At City, Mangala was loaned to Valencia in 2016-17, where he earned 30 La Liga caps and scored twice. He made eight PL appearances for City in 2017-18.

After his spell at Valencia, Mangala joined Everton the following January but made just two appearances before suffering a serious knee injury that ruled him out for eight months.

Valencia have announced the capture of the 28-year old on a two year contract for undisclosed fee on their official website.

“The club has reached an agreement with Eliaquim Mangala,” Valencia said on their website. The agreement is pending the completion of the definitive paperwork.”

Mangala is unlikely to feature in Valencia’s La Liga opener against Real Sociedad on Saturday as he hunts match fitness.

Allan Kyambadde completed his move days ago but his unveiling delayed not until KCCA signed a partnership agreement with El Gouna on Sunday in Egypt.

KCCA’s chairperson, Aggrey Ashaba and the CEO Anisha Muhoozi were all present as Kyambadde was unveiled after the signing of the agreement and handed an El Gouna Sports Club white shirt.

The agreement will involve the transfer of players between the two clubs, as well as developing and sharing of ideas for youth development.

Kyambadde’s capture follows the acquisition of Egyptian Mohamed Naguib and Zambian Walter Bwalya. Rayan, Akram and Gazzar also extended their loan spell with the Egyptian outfit. However, El Gouna Sports Club parted ways with Ousseynou Boye.

Kyambadde joins other six Ugandan players based in Egypt that include; Khalid Aucho who plays for Misr Lel Makkasa Sporting Club, Abdu Lumala at Pyramids, Emmanuel Arnold Okwi at Ittihad Alexandria and Tadeo Lwanga at Tanta Sports Club. Others incude forward Derrick Nsibambi  who plays for Smouha Sports Club and striker Isiagi who does business at Al Nasr Sporting Club.

For the fourth race in a row, Ferrari were unable to challenge Mercedes – and again there were questions about the strategy chosen by the Italian team.

Sebastian Vettel finished third, never very far behind the Mercedes, but team-mate Charles Leclerc finished fifth when it looked for a while as if he might have been able to take fourth ahead of Red Bull’s Max Verstappen.

Leclerc’s consolation on a weekend that he had looked like dominating until crashing in qualifying was a point for fastest lap.

The result makes Mercedes the first team ever to start the season in such a dominant fashion and puts their drivers in an enviable position in the championship.

Bottas returns to the lead of the championship, leading Hamilton by the point he gained for fastest lap in Australia. Vettel is 35 points behind.

There have been rumours about his future in recent months, but his ideal outcome would be to stay and to see out his contract.

“I don’t want to be anywhere else,” he said as the Blaugrana celebrated the title.

“I hope the club, the president, the coach and the fans see this the same way I do. I hope they tell me that I’ll stay here for another three years.”

Sean Dyche snapped up Hart for £4million at the start of the season to cover for injuries to Tom Heaton and Nick Pope.

But with the 32-year-old stuck on the bench following Heaton’s return, The Clarets are considering allowing Hart to leave to save on his wages which are high by Turf Moor standards.

Hart enjoyed the experience of playing in Italy with Torino and would consider moving abroad again to get his career back on track.

The 75-cap goalkeeper has seen his career go off the boil since Pep Guardiola arrived at Manchester City in 2016. 

He had loans at Torino and West Ham and lost his place in the England set-up before leaving City altogether last summer.

He hasn’t played for Burnley since a 5-1 home defeat against Everton on Boxing Day and is expected to be on the bench again for today’s game against his former club City.

The game has also come too early for striker Peter Crouch who is recovering from an appendix operation. 

But Burnley hope Crouch will return in time for the final weekend of the season in what could be his last game for the club.

The 28-year-old’s body was found in the wreckage of a light aircraft in the English Channel two weeks after the plane vanished near Guernsey.

“We are aware that a picture reported to be of Mr Sala’s body has been shared on social media channels and are disgusted that somebody did this,” a Dorset Police spokesman said.

“It is clearly a very difficult time for Mr Sala’s family and they should not have to endure additional pain that this shameful act will undoubtedly cause.”

“We are investigating this incident and are working together with a number of agencies to establish how the picture was taken and who is responsible,” he added.

The Argentine striker had been travelling in a Piper Malibu plane to his first training session at Cardiff City, after completing a £15m club record move from Nantes FC, when it crashed on 21 January.

The body of the pilot, David Ibbotson, from Crowle, North Lincolnshire, has not been found.

Scans done on Monday confirmed he suffered medial ligament damage, technically ending his season for United. 

This latest setback comes as a huge blow to the Ivorian, who has endured a season full of injuries, which have curtailed his development in England. 

The ‘Elephants’ of Ivory Coast are in what is considered ‘group of death’ in the AFCON, after being grouped with Morocco, South Africa and Namibia. 

They last won the tournament in 2015, after beating Ghana in the finals and are looking for winning this year’s title in Egypt.
