A plane crash in Uganda at least injured two African pilots.  The plane belonging to SorotiCivilAviationFlyingSchool on Monday afternoon crash landed in a bush injuring two pilots who were doing piloting exercises in northern Uganda.

The accident occurred at about 100 meters from GweriSub-county headquarters at midday. The accident according to our informers in Soroti attracted thousands of people to the scene.

The sources in the management of Soroti flying school told journalists that the injured pilots were doing their routine exercises before the plane developed a mechanical problem. The pilots sustained injuries and they were identified by the police as George Mazige and Innocent Shwun. The two pilots completed their course/studies last year who are now training to become instructors since they excelled.

Although some people in northern Uganda allege that the plane might have been shot by the remnants of LRA rebels led by Joseph Kony, the acting director of the academy, Ronald Ladiong says the government is to investigate the accident to ascertain the real cause of the crash.

Recently when president Museveni was explaining to Ugandans his side on the nation ID money which was reportedly mismanaged by some of his key people in government, in one of the statements he reportedly stated that Eriya Kategaya voted eight times during the 1980 general elections! Kategaya is currently Uganda’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister in Charge of East African Community Affairs.

But Museveni also showed that he went to the bush to stage a war against the legitimate government ofUganda in 1980s with the same Kategaya, well knowing that the latter had reportedly participated in multiple voting during elections.

Basing on Museveni’s own confessions, some people in Uganda have went further to ask how many inadvertent confessions by President Museveni do they need to demonstrate that Ugandans have a sitting president who has serious cases to answer.

It can also be remembered that some years back, Maj. Gen Kahinda Otafiire made a similar confession to the effect that during the bush war, as NRA rebels, they would dress up in Uganda Peoples Congress (UPC) T-shirts and create havoc (kill people), after which they would dress up as rebels and come back to the same scene of crime to console their victims and mobilise for their support.

It is true that the president general of Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), Col. Dr. Kiiza Besigye is soon handing over the party presidency to a new leader but he says this doesn’t mean that he is now going to abandon the political liberation struggle.

He says that the main reason why he is rushing to handover the presidency of FDC is to enable him to engage effectively in the liberation struggle.

While meeting the FDC youth at City House building in Kampala, Besigye revealed that he is planning to take the struggle to another level after he hands over the party presidency.

Besigye says there are political initiatives he can not undertake when he is still the party president.

He says after he quits the party president Ugandans will appreciate better how tough and determined Besigye is in the liberation struggle.

Whereas Museveni’s former Doctor, Col. Kiiza Besigye now of FDC has been reportedly rigged millions of votes but he has never gone to the bush to look for his votes.

Besigye vowed before his cohorts in Kampala that he will continue to look for his votes on the streets where they are rigged from.

He has also urged his supporters to start looking for those votes starting on polling stations and in villages. Besigye asks people to start looking for the rigged votes in terms of corrupt leaders, impunity and many more social and political injustices.

He says the youth of the African continent should prepare themselves for a rebellion against their older generation and claim their leadership role.

 Muntu told this informer that by law former army commanders receive cars, house and they remain receiving their salaries until they die. But when he finished his work as army commander president Museveni as the commander in chief of UPDF gave him a 4wd vehicle and he refused to take it. Muntu says that he told the people who had brought him the car to go back and tell Museveni that ‘am (Muntu) done.’

The former army commander also says that one day Museveni called and told him that he was going to promote him to general and become defence minister. “I told him I’m done. One day we were in Kyankwanzi and I stood and challenged the president on third term. I told him that we went to the bush to fight over staying in power.” he recalls.

 Muntu goes ahead: “When I was in the bush, formerUgandapresident Milton Obote looked after my family. While in the bush, I was shot twice and Obote met my bill. When I recovered he bought me a brand new benz. I packed it at statehouse and went back to the bush. I am over strict and whenever I see a mistake I have to tell it so Uganda needs people like me to be presidents,” he says.

During the Committee meeting Chaired by Terego County MP Wadri Kassiano members noted  that the said money was not paid to Burundi Government as was agreed which has prompted the Committee to summon officials from Burundi Government to hear from their side whether the money was received or not.

Kassiano also said the 14 million dollars in Question is said to have been paid through Picfare account which was supposed to supply them with Stationery so that the committee can establish how Ministry of Finance wired the money to Picfare so that the truth is established.

In related development the Committee has also pointed out five Cabinet Ministers who are said to have handled the transaction will  appear before the Committee.

The Ministers to appear include  Khidu Makubuya Former Attorney General, Syda Bumba then Finance minister , Sam Kutesa Foreign Affair Mwesigwa Rukutana then State for Finance among others.
