We are told that it is true. The government of Uganda reportedly failed to pay Kenya the hospital bills of Hon Eriya Kategaya. The Hospital bills in Nairobi were paid for by the deceased’s family friend.

However, the NRM Government spent about 2 Billion Uganda shillings for his burial ceremony. But some Ugandans wish out of the Shs 2bn NRM could have spared UgShs 1.5 billion to buy a CTScan and Incubators to save lives of babies at Mulago National Referral Hospital.

The good news is that Kategaya died a corruption free man but some people say that the thieving habit of some NRM Government officials reportedly forced them to pump that much money into his grave construction which himself refused to steal in his life.

The First Deputy Minister and childhood friend of President Museveni died in a Nairobi hospital this week. He died at the age of 70 from a suspected blood clot in one of his legs. Museveni and late Kategaya met at Ntare School and later proceeded to Dar-es-Salaam University in Tanzania where they hatched plans for an armed liberation.

maize grain

The UN food agency says it has signed a contract to buy 154 metric tons of maize grain from grain traders in Gulu district.

According to a news release, the WFP Country Director Sory Ouane has described it as a welcome reversal of events which will help the Acholi people to become productive again.

Northern Uganda suffered more than two decades of war led by LRA leader Joseph Kony. The war displaced thousands and rendered most people unproductive since they could not access their lands.

Ouna says the traders will supply the 154 tons of grain through WFP’s 6,000 metric ton capacity licensee warehouse near Gulu town.

The WFP in 2008 launched the Purchase for Progress project which has seen them increasing buying food for its relief activities from small scale local farmers.

The Inspector General of Government Ms Irene Mulyagonja has entered into allegations that there is too much corruption in the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA).
The development comes after public demands that FUFA needs commission of inquiry immediately! The soccer funs say that Namboole has been a fortress for Uganda Cranes; where even Nigeria, Ghana; Angola and many other tested big football teams perished; and all of a sudden FUFA wants to do away with the funs buy maliciously hiking the price to 40,000 shillings, 750,000 shillings, 170,000 shillings.
The IGG’s office is investigating claims that money must have exchanged hands to deny Uganda Cranes the fun and the crowd!

We may now know why president Museven is refusing to increase the national budget of the health ministry and gunning for more funds in state house and the defence ministry.

President Museveni’s government after buying fighter junk jets from a Russian arms export company, three planes of which crushed on their way to Somalia, is planning to buy six more fighter jets from Russia.

Information we are getting from Moscow is that president Museveni and his bush war comrades in NRM government are in talks with Rosoboron export about the option of buying additional Sukhoi Su-30 jets. The company’s deputy director, Alexander Mikheyev is aware of the talks.

Perhaps this could be the reason why Museveni is refusing to increase money to buy drugs and medication for poor Ugandans in order to take forward the government project of buying fighter jets.

Many women in Uganda and across Africa do not have a lot of money to get rich, buy a house, buy a car, or even send their children to good schools.

But saving little by little can buy them their dream houses or take them to their desired destinations.

This applies to single mothers who have small businesses. Now there is a new bank called SMOCSA. The bank gives small loans to women undertaking Small Scale Business Projects.

SMOCSA gives some little amounts of money to unemployed women especially mothers and trains them on the kind of businesses they can do and how to start saving little until, they have saved enough for the purchase of something they have always desired.

We are told that SMOCSA at least every month every mother contributes an agreed upon amount of money and all collections are given to one mother in a group of 8 or more until the circle is finished.

Hello My Brother Walakira Nyanzi and the entire family of Ultimate Media, hope you are fine today. Let me first congratulate you for the story you did recently on the hepatitis B vaccine. May God bless you! Like I told some of you on phone, I am an advocate of hepatitis B in Africa and the founder of an NGO in Liberia by name ABSOLUTE HEALTH FOUNDATION and I am currently doing a project on hepatitis B in Liberia.

I am also the CEO of ABSOLUTE HEALTH SERVICES in Ghana and I am a Ghanaian.

Due to the researches and projects I am doing in hepatitis B, I have linked up with companies who manufacture the hepatitis B vaccine to reduce the price and they are also giving a promotional package of FREE HEPATITIS B STRIPS for testing of the hepatitis B virus depending on the quantity a particular country or company buys. For example if you buy 1,000,000(one million) doses of the vaccine you will get about 100,000 or 200,000 free hepatitis B strips.

So the more you buy the vaccines, the more strips you get. This is to encourage people to go for screening and know their status and also to get the vaccine at a cheap price. I have been in contact with Uganda’s permanent health secretary and other doctors in Uganda to see how they can make it possible to get some of these vaccines since the virus is fast spreading in your country.

President Yoweri Museveni advocated for mass immunization, screening and sensitization in April this year. Well, as journalists, I hope you can reach out to the Government, health minister Dr Christine Andoa and other big pharmacy shops in Uganda to get the opportunity to buy these vaccines to so people can buy it cheaper as compared to the 40,000 UGX being sold by some of them.

The vaccines I am talking about are WHO standard vaccines used all over the world. Each dose is 9,000 UGX for children and 20,000 UGX for adults. All these prices come with free hepatitis B strips. There are so many strategies to fight the infection and my campaign brings massive number who will call for the vaccines. Thank you very much and try and reply to this mail.

Many people world over complain that they forget easily and sometimes find it hard to memorize the things they are told, seen or read somewhere.

However scientists recommend that the people with memory problems need a diet for memory problems.

The first recommendation is to eat a wholesome diet of basic and unprocessed foods because conventionally grown foods often contain toxins.

It is advisable to buy organic whenever possible, to wash your food thoroughly well before eating, add wheat germ to salads, cereals or juices, nuts and seeds for vitamin E, fruits and vegetables are also good sources of vitamin A.

Vitamin A improves circulation, increases energy levels and detoxifies your body.

You are also advised to drink a glass of clean water every two walking hours, consume fishes for example salmon, mackerel and other clean fish three times a week for their essential fatty acids.

He has been putting up at Uganda house building in Kampala. Prompting many people to wonder how the Lira Municipality MP Jimmy Akena could fail to build or buy his own home.

The members of Uganda Peoples Congress would even throw pieces of paper in his room advising the MP to save part of the millions MPs receive in Parliament and buy own home.

The Director of Milton Obote Foundation, CD Mindra we hear even threatened to evict Akena over failure to buy his own home. The good news is that the MP has paid his last installment on one of the houses in Kakungulu Estates near Lutembe Beach, in Entebbe sub district.

The members of Uganda Peoples Congress who preferred anonymity told our informer that Akena has now become a respectable man.

Resident District Commissioners (RDCs), judges and LC5 chairperson have got 50 million shillings each to buy brand new cars. But they have been directed not to disclose information to members of the press.

The first batch of the RDCs, judges and LC5 chairpersons got the 50 million shillings at the beginning of February this year and the last batch will get the cash in March 2012.

The speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga says that RDCs, judges, MPs and LC5 chairpersons are all entitled to transport facilitation just like ministers and other government officials.

Ms Kadaga says that the beneficiaries of the car programme are not supposed to disclose details to the members of the press. Recently MPs got 103 million shillings each to buy cars.
