The girl has testified before the Kampala high court saying that one Kanywanyi had sent her to call One Eriab from Lubega’s house but instead falsely convinced her that Eriab was inside the house and that she should enter and call him herself.

She narrated to court that Lubega defiled her and also covered her mouth such that she could not make an alarm for assistance.

The girl has also told court that her brother Henry Ssemyalo, who was passing by, rescued her and reported the matter to Police.

Edith Nakitende, the mother of the victim has told court that the following day she tool her daughter for medical examination and tested positive for HIV and the daughter is one HIV medication since then.

Presiding judge Andrew Byabashaija has adjourned the matter to Monday for further hearing.

Prosecution alleges that Lubega committed the offence on the 25^th of November last year in Busega central, Lubaga division, Kampala district.

He adds that police’s failure to handle cases of such violent nature has forced people to take the law in their hands which he said is sometimes necessary.

Meanwhile Muwuma also condemned the act of arresting the defilement suspects and releasing them free.

He also appealed to parents to treat all young people as children whether they are their children or not.
