Job Summary: The Executive Assistant will provide personalized secretarial and administrative support in a well organized and timely manner. The incumbent will work on a one-to-one basis on a variety of tasks related to executive’s working life and communication.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:   

  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Act as the point of contact between the executives and internal/external clients
  • Undertake the tasks of receiving calls, take messages and routing correspondence
  • Handle requests and queries appropriately
  • The incumbent will maintain diary, arrange meetings and appointments and provide reminders
  • Make travel arrangements
  • Take dictation and minutes and accurately enter data
  • Regularly monitor office supplies and research advantageous deals or suppliers

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  

  • The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree; additional qualification as personal assistant would be considered an advantage
  • The applicant for the Executive Assistant should have experience as an executive administrative assistant, senior executive assistant or in other secretarial position
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of office management systems and procedures
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Proficiency in English
  • Exemplary planning and time management skills
  • Up-to-date with advancements in office gadgets and applications
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
  • High level verbal and written communications skills

About My Voice My Rights Programme:

Restless Development is implementing the My Voice My Rights, a new exciting programme aimed at increasing the number of young people living in rural Uganda who have access to Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) & youth-friendly health services through mobilisation, coordination and capacitybuilding of youth and youth-led organisations, and joint advocacy campaigns in Jinja, Mayuge and Kampala Districts.

Job Summary: The Volunteer Advocate will support Restless Development in the implementation of the My Voice My Rights programme through leading the youth-led research and advocating for quality sexual and reproductive health services for young people.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The applicants for the Volunteer Advocate jobs should hold degree in any field or at least hold an A’ level certificate
  • The applicant must be committed to the principle of volunteering to support community development.
  • The jobholder should be a resident of either Jinja or Mayuge; and willing to work with in these Districts.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of, or Interest in Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health issues and advocacy.
  • Previous experience of facilitating community dialogues and youth meetings
  • Good computer skills( Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point)
  • Demonstrated ability to connect with fellow young people in his/her District.
  • Fluent in English, Lusoga/Luganda
  • Age: Must be a Ugandan aged 18 to 28.

M-KOPA Solar is the global leader of “pay-as-you-go” energy for off-grid customers. Since its commercial launch in October 2012, M-KOPA has connected more than 200,000 homes in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda to solar power, and is now adding over 500 new homes each day. The success of M-KOPA (M= mobile, KOPA= to borrow) stems from making solar products affordable to low-income households on a pay-per-use installment plan. Customers acquire solar systems for a small deposit and then purchase daily usage “credits” for US $0.45, or less than the price of traditional kerosene lighting. After one year of payments customers own their solar systems outright and can upgrade to more power.

Job Summary: The Mobile Money Commerce Administrator will lead and facilitate M-KOPA business development agenda, partnerships and interventions with MTN and related customer base by providing operational, administrative and marketing support to M-KOPA business activities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:   

  • Develop and maintain an indispensable Partnership between M-KOPA and MTN by providing  support and advise to  M-KOPA – MTN money business/ Retail /Customer  development in line with M-KOPA business goals
  • Coach and train DSRs and other stakeholders on all MTN business activities in line with MTN –MKOPA business relations
  • Carry out research on all M-KOPA business segments/partnerships and make recommendations on strategies of improving M-KOPA business
  • Respond to customer feedback by developing, implementing and evaluating M-KOPA business training programs that meet the needs of local Customer
  • Provide support to marketing, events and promotional activities to ascertain that they are appropriate, innovative, effective and meeting customer demand
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the current performance of The M-KOPA Business; support the implementation of M-KOPA MTN Money activities and respond to all business enquiries in relation to M-KOPA- MTN Money payment solutions.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate for the M-KOPA Mobile Money Commerce Administrator job placement should hold a university Degree from recognized University.
  • At least two years’ experience working in the telecom industry with interaction with mobile money services
  • Previous exposure and experience in Marketing and distribution in Telecom industry
  • Good understanding of marketing and promotional activities
  • Computer literacy and knowledge of personal computers and software packages MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access and Outlook
  • Ability to develop and manage strategic and operational partnerships.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required in liaising with people at different levels within the organization, customer and other business stakeholders.
  • Adaptable,  flexible, proactive & detail oriented
  • Good planning and organization skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work in teams& under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • A person with high integrity.
  • Dynamic self-starter with a personal ambition to succeed

Job Summary: The Response Team Leader assumes overall oversight and management of the SC Uganda (SCUG) Cat 2 emergency response to the South Sudanese refugee influx as well as the emergency response to the Congolese refugee population, in collaboration with the Country Director and Senior Management Team (SMT). The Team Leader leads the development/revision of an effective resource mobilization strategy – including donor engagement – to ensure the response programme is funded and backstopped adequately. The Team Leader will build capacity of SMT members

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate for the Save the Children Response Team Leader career placement should a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent field experience
  • Extensive experience of working within a senior management role and within a complex country programme in an emergency response or fragile state setting; and/or extensive experience of setting up responses in out of area contexts (either where no SC presence or CO presence); and/or extensive experience of working in high income contexts
  • Previous experience of managing programme teams in large-scale/complex, first phase emergency response is essential
  • Senior management experience of leading a diverse, multi-function and/or multi-sector team at a Country Director or other relevant SMT level.
  • Previous experience of managing multi-donor, multi-site programmes (including ECHO, DFID and OFDA) of GBP 5m+ in a first phase response at regional or country level
  • Multi-site security management in insecure environments
  • Experience of international level representation with key stakeholders, and co-ordination with other NGOs/UN
  • Prior exposure and experience of international media representation and advocacy
  • Experience of M&E and beneficiary accountability systems in large complex programmes
  • Experience of developing and negotiating successful partnerships with institutional donors
  • Proven ability to influence change at an operational and strategic level
  • Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, tact and diplomacy
  • A high level of written and spoken English
  • The capacity and willingness to be extremely flexible and accommodating in difficult and sometimes insecure working circumstances.
  • Commitment to the aims and principles of SC. In particular, a good understanding of the SC mandate and child focus and an ability to ensure this continues to underpin our support
