A survey conducted by KPMG an international advisory firm and monitor publication limited indicates that 85% of these companies have continued to hit the desired profits.

89% of these are started by traders using their own capital while 44%rely on loans from financial institutions.

Releasing the findings the KPMG manager for audit Richard Walusimbi however noted that there are still some challenges that continue to affect these companies.

The six months survey helps identify the fastest growing medium sized companies and acknowledge their contributions

Police have identified the black spots in Kampala which everyone must be scared of at night and in morning hours. They include Mawanda Road, Northern By Pass, along Nakivubo Channel, Nakulabye, Bwaise, Nateete, Ntinda Stretcher, among others.

The police have been sensitising the public and it is considering deployment after marking the black spots.

In Kampala Central division, the police are using CCTV motor vehicles which help to monitor the city; this is according to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, Ibin Senkumbi.

Senkumbi says that the black spots are not permanent and when Police identify one, the thugs shift their attention to another area. Many people have lost their lives in these named black spots. Like Dirisa Rwelekera, a 36- year-old boda boda cyclist, he is now lying in Mulago Hospital with severe head injuries, because two men hit him on the head with an object he believes was a hammer.

Rwelekera says the two unidentified men found him in Makindye division in Kampala and asked him to ride them to Nyanama, another Kampala suburb, where he later met his fate.

The two hit-men rode away with his motorcycle and all his belongs which were in the pockets. The police say that most thugs in Kampala are market vendors, motorcycle riders and unemployed youth.

Uganda’s opposition leader Col. Kiiza Besigye and 14 other FDC leaders have been charged with staging an unlawful assembly last Wednesday in Kampala central business area that led to the alleged murder of an Assistant Inspector of Police (AIP) John Bosco Ariong.

Besigye and 14 other suspects including FDC Women League leader Ingrid Turinawe, Kawempe Division LC3 Chairman Hajji Mubaraka Munyagwa, Kampala Woman MP Nabilah Ssempala, and FDC woman activist Catherine Dembe appeared before Buganda Road Court Chief Magistrate Eleanor Khainza this Wednesday. Besigye was also charged with injuring a policeman and disobeying lawful orders and blocking traffic flow in Kampala.

Besigye and his co accused were represented by David Mpanga. Besigye and group were granted bail and they are to reappear in court on April 17^th this year. Each surety of the suspects was bonded 50 million shillings and each of the suspects produced 20 million shillings not cash. Late Ariong was hit with an object from a building on Ben Kiwanuka Street. Eye witnesses say that a man hit the policeman with an object after he reportedly saw policemen mistreating civilians.

You see Rabadaba, Moze Radio and Weasel TV are not some good friends. In the video Faisa Seguya aka Rabadaba is aligned on the left side while Radio and Weasel on the right side at the start of the video.

We are told that Rabadaba hates the duo singers reportedly because Radio and Weasel failed to share with him the proceeds they got from one of the shows they organised together last year.
