How possible is it to float on lake or sea water?

In the East African Community, many fatal boat accidents occur every year between July and October due to strong winds that occur during that time. But the acting Commissioner for Marine in Uganda Police, Patrick Lawot says that any person managing a water vessel carrying passengers the police will find between July and October without life saving gadgets will be arrested and charged.

The strong winds can even sometimes break boats and kill passengers. In Uganda, all people sailing on water bodies have to carry whistles which they blow to make alerts for rescue in case of boat accidents and at the same time put on life jackets.

Also every boat in Uganda, Kenya, Burundi, Tanzania and Rwanda among other African countries must have an arch that can be used to keep the boat in one position if the weather and or the wind is bad. The boat managers must also carry floaters in their boats that can be used when there is a water accident on water.

In case of water accidents, the life jackets keep a person who doesn’t know to swim floating on water for more than two days. A person who can’t swim and has no life jackets drowns within six minutes.

High court Judge Jane Kiggundu said that Nyangasi was meant to protect his wife as a husband but instead turned against her breaking the law.

The judge however said that the convict was not handed a death sentence because his children needed him after losing their mother.

Nyangasi was convicted on 19th of October 2012 of murdering his wife Christine Dambio.

He is said to have murdered his wife Christine Dambio at their matrimonial home in Kireka B a Kampala suburb.

He is said to have beaten and strangled his wife after a misunderstanding related to property and accusations of infidelity.

The victim was found unconscious in the bathroom and rushed to Mulago Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

According to Tinkasimire, the messages are that, those who burnt his wife Agnes were still on rampage looking forward to squeezing more blood out of his family.

Tinkasimire who was speaking with a lot of shock added that his perceived assailants are warning him against his continued razing of people’s property working with Jennifer Musisi.

He says they accuse him of razing their properties in town and that more troubles are yet to hit him, much as he has been given a body guard.

He claimed that some of his tormentors are speaking in Swahili while others are using English.

This comes at a time when unknown people last week burnt Tinkasimire’s home in Mukono leaving two people seriously injured.

His former wife who sustained severe injuries on her body has since died and been buried.

Many people still don’t know why people mistake beaches to be places where they have to move naked especially women.

The diplomats from two countries in Europe yesterday came a cross a Ugandan lady who was no chicken, she actually looked very old, very tired, and according to how people rated her age, she must have given birth to not less than 17 kids.

This woman had dressed too bad, exposing her back which was too dark like roasted meat. I think women need to revise the way they dress, no one needs to know what is inside them, and some of us still need to enjoy the fresh airs of the river banks. The diplomats whom we have not named because they did not want to be named wondered why some Ugandan old women who visit the beach are too immoral.

Many Christians in the Catholic Church are found of talking about Mother Teresa of Calcutta, but who was she? Mother Teresa of Calcutta is
recognized throughout the Catholic Church world wide.

Her work among the poor people was beatified
on October 19, 2003. The Archbishop of Kampala Catholic Archdiocese Lwanga Kizito says that the people who were present at this function were hundreds of Missionaries of Charity among others.

Mother Teresa of Calcutta founded the missionaries of charity in 1950 as a diocesan religious community. The charity brings together many
contemplative sisters and brothers and an order of priests.

She was born to Albanian
parents in what is now Skopje, Macedonia (then part of the Ottoman Empire).

Mother Teresa of Calcutta original names Gonxha (Agnes) Bojaxhiu
was the youngest of the three children of her parents. Her parents’ family was well off for sometime but life changed overnight following the death of her father.

During her years in school Agnes participated in a
Catholic sodality and she showed strong interests in foreign missions. That was at the age of 18. She later entered the
Loreto Sisters of Dublin. It was in 1928 when she said goodbye to her mother for the final time and she
made her way to a new land and a new life.  In 1929, she was sent to the Loreto novitiate
in Darjeeling, India, where she chose the name Teresa and prepared for a life of service. She was
assigned to a high school for girls in Calcutta, where she taught history and geography to the daughters of the wealthy.

In 1946, while riding a train to Darjeeling to make a retreat, Sister Teresa heard what she later explained as a call within a call. The message was clear. The message required her to leave the convent and help the poor while living among them.

She also heard another call to give up her life with the Sisters of Loreto and follow Christ into the slums to serve him among the poor people.

Mother Teresa of Calcutta when she left Loreto, establish a new
religious community and undertaken her new work. Sister Teresa took a nursing course for several months and again returned to Calcutta, where she lived in the slums and opened up a school for poor children.

Mother Teresa of Calcutta used to dress in a white sari and sandals (the ordinary dress of an Indian woman) and she began treating the poor sick people and got to know their needs through visits. In a nutshell Mother Teresa of Calcutta worked tirelessly on behalf of the poor and her love knew no bounds. In 1979 she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize but on September 5^th 1997 she died.

Former Kampala city associate Bad Black doesn’t stop to amuse. The day was Thursday and the venue was Luzira prison. A team of her associates had gone to pay her a visit. The prison authorities after checks permitted Bad Black’s visitors to check on her for a few minutes. Bad Back looked happy to see her visitors who were led by her relatives and close friends.

But during the conversations Bad Black told them that she was so disappointed at Luzira because there is a lady who displeased her sometime back now stays with her in the prison cell. Bad Black says that she is so mad about this and that she cries bitterly over her presence in the same cell with her. Bad Black says that the said woman was once a close friend of hers but they later separated after the woman walked away with Black’s former boyfriend.

Luckily for Bad Black, she got the white man whose money later brought her problems which made her imprisoned for four years.

The woman who disappointed Bad Black went into bad deals and surprisingly they now stay in the same cell at Luzira prison. Bad Black says that whenever she wants to talk or whispers to anybody the woman who disappointed her will be the one to listen or to look on.

Women who take certain ulcer drugs have a small increased risk of hip fractures in later life, latest research suggests.

A study published in the British medical journal found a link between long-term use of proton pump inhibitors and bone fractures in smokers. Protons are used to treat heartburn, reflux and ulcers.

The research tracked almost 80,000 nurses in the US aged between 30 to 55 years. They were followed up in later life to see how many of them had developed hip fractures after the menopause.

The researchers found out that smokers or ex-smokers taking proton pump inhibitors had 50% increased risk of hip fracture compared with women not taking medication.
