Parkinson’s disease is a kind of paralysis, especially of old people in which the muscles become stiff and the limbs continually shake. It is also a chronic, degenerative disorder of the nervous system, in which voluntary movement is impaired or lost. Although it may come to affect the entire body, it most noticeably weakens the ability to control motions categorized as semi-voluntary. Parkinson’s disease is caused by insecticides, pesticides and herbicides, heavy metals, carbon-monoxide poisoning, inflammatory brain disorder, free radicals, poor nutrition, and food allergies.

Its symptoms are tremors, rigid or heavy-feeling arms and legs, a “pill-rolling” motion of the hand and the thumb, constipation, difficulty speaking, a huffing gait, with the arms close to the body.

Other symptoms are stooped posture, masklike facial expression, drooling (eventually, an inability to perform most voluntary and semi voluntary movements.

The diet for Parkinson’s disease: Eat raw foods (fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds) because they are high in fibre which will keep you regular and contain antioxidants that fight free radical damage.

Follow a diet that is composed of 50-75% raw and organic foods. If you can not find organic foods products, make sure to wash everything in clean water before eating. When you eat protein, focus on beans, legumes, soy products or fish (from a clean water source).

Use cold-dressed oils in salad dressing. They are high in vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant that is important in the prevention and the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. Drink a glass of clean water but not tap water every after two working hours. This will flush toxins and other impurities from your body and will also lend general support to every your body system.

Treatment for Worms: worms have a life cycle, so they can be killed at every stage. eg if you kill the adults, but not the eggs, the eggs hatch and the cycle will continue.

If one kills the eggs of worms, but not the worms, they will lay more eggs, thus the vicious cycle continues. Worms can be eliminated through colon cleansers, antibiotics as well as herbal remedies.

Prevention tips for worms: Cook meats thoroughly, avoid walking barefooted, wash your hands frequently, sleep in clean bedding, and drink clean water, thoroughly wash fruits and vegetables before eating and cooking.

Avoid cooking with a microwave or eating raw foods especially meat and seafood. Avoid refined carbohydrates and sugars. Avoid swimming in contaminated water. Also avoid crowded households, sleep in a clean environment and practice good hygiene. You also need to de-worm at least once in six months.

Following the tremendous increase in the HIV prevalence in the country, Uganda has been forced to launch three anti HIV/AIDS strategies that will help in driving down the high rates of HIV among the populace staring 2011 until 2016.

Vice President Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi

The launched strategies by the vice president, H.E. Edward Kiwanuka Sekandiinclude, the national HIV prevention strategy, Prevention of mother to child transmission of HIV strategy.

Speaking at the launch of the strategies, Sekandi cautions the experts to be extra careful as they implement these new preventive tools noting that they have to fully inform nationals that the disease is still with us.

But the health minister, Christine Andoa reveals that govt is to sign US.$.270M to be used in fighting malaria, T.B and other related disease which tend to break down the persons’ system when infected with the disease adding that much emphasis is to be put on islands.

However, the chairman, Uganda AIDS Commission (UAC) Prof. Vinand Nantulya challenges teachers to re-embark on teaching pupils and student the dangers of the disease and preventive methods as it was it the past.

He also stresses that men are now leading in transmitting the disease to their wives and children which now calls for change in men’s behaviors.
