Prime Minister John Patrick Amam Mbabazi

Committee vice chairperson Nabilah Nagayi Ssempala says this is not the first time he has failed to turn up when called to explain how government was fulfilling the pledges it made to Ugandans.

Sempala also expressed disappointment that the prime minister does not even respond to the committee invitations.

She says they have now resolved to write to Mbabazi reminding him of the House rules of procedure before they invoke rule 195 which will force him to appear before the committee.

For some people it’s normal and common to have their hair turn from either black to brown after relaxing. Hair experts say that using poor quality products and rinsing chemicals thoroughly out of the hair can also lead to browning of the hair.

Hot combing, blow drying and too much heat applied directly to the hair also causes the hair to turn brown.

It is therefore very important to note that you use a setting hair lotion depending on the hair type and condition of the scalp.

Women should use polishers like the olive polisher in order to protect, moisturise, repair, shine and seal the hair from heat. The hair experts also advise women to protect their hair from the effect of direct heat.

It’s very important to analyze the condition and texture of the hair before treating it e.g. how thin or thick it is. Also analyse the state of your hair, is it natural, broken or colour-treated. Conditions like hair breakage, hair thinning, lack of hair growth, scalp damage and hair loss should be considered carefully when choosing which chemicals to use.

The workers strike began today, 04th June, 2012. The workers are demanding for the minimum wage, industrial Court, workers involvement in NSSF affairs and the amendment of the NSSF Act to cater for workers” interests, among other demands.

Many workers have kept around Kampala in the City Centre and waited for instructions from their leaders.
The workers threatened to camp in the offices of the government Ministries if the government continues being adamant.

The workers said they will not keep quiet until their demands are met and not leaving the city centre even if they arrested or tear gassed.

They say that they are protected by law and when they are arrested, others will takeover and when released they shall come back to the campaign.

The workers and their leaders first stormed offices of concerned Ministries and demanded that the “long standing workers” demands that fall within the jurisdiction of particular Ministries be handled. But the turn up for the workers in today’s demonstration was minimum.

The police are deployed at the contested Masjid Noor mosque in Kampalato ensure that calm is maintained in the city. This follows a group of angry Muslims holding sticks, pangs and stones besieged Masjid Noor Mosque to guard it against Dreke Lubega who wants to demolish it to pave way for future development.

Sheikh Noohu Muzata, one of the sheikhs told the media that president Museveni recently gave them this mosque but Lubega, who is not even a Muslim wants to demolish the house of Allah.

Muzata says that Muslims will call for a jihad if Lubega insists on taking over the mosque. Lubega has a 49 year lease over the land on which the mosque stands. He plans to turn the mosque into a modern shopping mall and reportedly turn part of it into a night club.

Wielding sticks, Muslims surrounded the mosque and warned of trouble if Lubega continues with his plan.

Raising their fists in the air, the muslims have been heard and seen chatting “Allah Akbar” (God is great).

Members of Parliament on the public accounts committee of parliament have expressed concern that the picfare industries limited went ahead to supply 300,000 T-shirts worth 1.3 billion shillings to the Burundian government as part of scholastic materials.

The government of Burundi authorized Uganda to pay the monies owed to Burundi to Picfare industries in turn for Picfare to supply scholastic materials but the mps are querying why picfare diverted from the original agreement of supplying scholastic materials to T-shirts.

The mps on this committee say that they have received some information that all the money was paid to picfare but not all the goods have not been supplied to Burundi.

The lead council of this committee Eddie Kwizera says this is one of the issues among other compensations they will raise with the president when they met him on Wednesday.
