One of the conditions reportedly set by the central government before the reopening of radio CBS FM was to respect government, ruling party, the National Resistance Movement and its officials.

But we have been told that the Inspector General of Police, Lt. Gen. Kale Kayihura has reportedly written a letter to the management of CBS FM warning them against belittling government officials and workers.

Sources from Bulange Mengo, the home of CBS FM told us that Kayihura wants the management of CBS FM to stop referring to him as Lt. Gen. ‘Kalekeezi’.’

The police boss tells CBS FM that he is called Lt. Gen. Kale Kayihura but not ‘Kalekeezi Kayihura. The police boss reportedly informs radio CBS fm management that calling him Kalekeezi is equivalent to defamation and that if the radio station doesn’t stop the vice it risks closure and prosecution in courts of law.

Other officials in Uganda government who declined to be named because they are Baganda told this reporter that they are also not happy with the way some presenters on the station dramatize peoples’ names. For example, the government officials told us that some times news anchors on CBS FM refers to Hajji Kirunda Kivejinja as Kirunda ‘Kiveidinda,’ and president Museveni as ‘Sabagabe, Lugonda Magya, Nakwale (dancer who doesn’t leave the dancing hall) and Nakyemalira (dictator).

Ugandagovernment has lost over 6 billion shillings during the three day traders strike in Kampala Capital City Authority. On Wednesday this week thousands of Traders inUgandaespecially inKampalaclosed their shops protesting against the high interest rates commercial banks charge on loans.

The traders strike was peaceful although the police arrested some of the traders it suspected that they could turn violent.

The traders spokesman, Issa Sekitto says that it’s the government which has lost in the strike as over 6 billion shillings have not bee collected during the strike.

He explains that telecom companies like MTN Uganda, Uganda Telecom, WaridUgandaandOrangecollect millions of money every day from the calls traders make. Sekitto says that all these telecom companies pay taxes to the government so when the traders go on strike all the revenue the government collects on fuel stations, taxis, beverage companies, sugar factory among others also reduce.

The traders strike is ending today evening with a meeting of all traders to decide whether next week the start a violent strike.

Ugandais now among the countries inAfricaknown to have violent strikes in which many people are shot dead by the police and the army.

Millions of Ugandans who used to be so peaceful have slowly turned violent due to increasing levels of poverty, political discrimination, land grabbing executed by some of the people who have big connections in the army, police, courts of law and government.

We have been informed that many born again Christians have dropped their meaningless traditional names in favour of names such as Divine, Mercy, Grace, Muwanguzi (winner) among others.

The head of the born again faith in Uganda, Pastor Joseph Serwadda says that their members have not changed their names today; the process has been going on for the last so many years.

Serwadda says that born again Christians don’t need the government to first allow them to change names. He says that in their faith a believer can drop a certain name and pick another of his/her choice.

Speaking to informers in Kampala today, Serwadda however explained that the born again Christians who need to change their names legally are free to go to the courts of law and do so.

The parliamentary appointments committee has approved the former principal judge James Ogoola as the new chairman of the judicial service commission.

This follows demands by mps to the president asking him to immediately appoint commissioners in the judicial service commission who can help to recruit judges in the courts.

After a long period of this demand, the president has responded to this demand and appointed more seven commissioners to be approved by parliament and constitute the judicial service commission.

The judicial service commission has in the past not been fully constituted following retirement of many of its members creating vacuums in the recruitment of magistrates and judges in the courts of this country.

Ogoola who has been approved this morning by the appointments committee of parliament today promised to immediately embark on the recruitment of new judges and magistrates in the country so that cases in courts of law can be disposed off immediately as a way of ensuring justice in the country.

Ogoola after being approved told the press that he will make sure that only suitable judges who can deliver justice to Ugandans are recruited into this sector so that justice can increase in the country.

The judicial service commission constitutes eight commissioners but in the past it has had only one commissioner something which has made its operations very difficult. However the president has appointed all the other seven commissioners to constitute the commission headed by James Ogoola, and deputized by the lady justice Esther Kisakye.

Intelligence reports indicate that many rich people in Kampala are secretly funding the activities of A4C.

The latest CID report our writer has seen indicates that the organisers of A4C are using the money they collect from donors and tycoons in town to recruit hooligans who participate in riots.

According to security sources, the people who will be arrested will be charged in courts of law. Recently the inspector general of police Maj. Gen. Kale Kayihura said that many thugs hide under the umbrella of A4C and snatch peoples property and phones.

Security sources say that they have heard that A4C has recruited many people who they pay 50,000 shillings every month on assignment of spreading information about the intentions of A4C.
