Members of opposition Forum for Democratic Change have spent the whole of today in shock after the state preferred murder charges against their supporters arrested yesterday. The spokesperson of police, Judith Nabakooba says that FDC supporters are in detention over the killing of a policeman John Bosco Ariongo.

Some of the FDC supporters facing murder charges include Henry Kavuma, and George Kaija. Other FDC supporters face charges of holding unlawful assembly and disobeying lawful orders while they were with Col. Kiiza Besigye.

Late Ariongo was hit by a stone on his forehead by a suspected rioter and died as he was being taken to the hospital. The suspects in their statements have denied having had a hand in the death of Ariongo. Nabakooba says that more FDC supporters are to be arrested after investigations are complete.

Obwana’s wife collapsed as the news of her husband’s actions reached her. We are yet to know the grounds under which Obwana beat his wife. Beatrice Arinaitwe, who is a lawyer by professional is now under the supervision of her family doctor in a Kampala hospital. Efforts to get a comment from Obwana were futile by press time. When he reached at home his wife was bathing with soap on her face. The NRM boss whose name is withheld tip-toed & touched her on the boobs, and the wife responded, ‘Moses (the driver) have you dropped my stupid husband so soon? Relax, don’t rush, we have the whole of this weekend this time together.”

The woman noticed the person she was talking to was quiet; she washed her face only to see her husband standing behind her. The woman fainted and the known lethal mouthed minister called his guards to arrest the driver and to take the woman to Mulago hospital.

The soldiers brought the driver to the minister who gave him a slap on the spot. The driver denied the allegations but the minister ordered his guards to take him to Kiira road police station where he said he will find him when he returns from England.

Uganda intelligence officers intercepted this letter yesterday and handed it over to president Museveni who has now directed police to hunt for the people behind it.

The authors of the letter who are believed to be members of opposition Forum for Democratic Change or Democratic Party complains that Uganda signed oil agreements with Tullow oil company despite a Parliamentary resolution that put a moratorium on the signing of the same until relevant laws are in place.

Sources in security and government told our reporters that President Museveni is concerned about the letter because it could derail the oil production in Uganda. Once the security manages to nab the authors of the letter, police intends to charge them with economic sabotage and conspiracy to sabotage.
