A human body can have fats ranging between 50 to 200 billion fat cells distributed around the body. For most females (women), a high percentage of the subcutaneous fat tissue surrounds the areas of the breasts, waist, hips and buttocks.

However, most males have a high percentage of fats distributed around the chest, abdomen and buttocks.

In the Republic of Uganda fat women are considered beautiful, while men with fats around the abdomen (men with big berries) are perceived as wealthy.

However, Doctor David Sali, a prominent medical practitioner in town says that fats deposited along the abdomen cavity makes hormones and chemicals, which increases the risk of diseases like colorectal cancer, high blood pressure, diabetes, stroke, cancer of the pancreas, breast and prostate.

Cholesterol is a fatty substance that is a natural part of every cell in your body. Your body needs it for proper healing, brain function and nerve transmission.
Your liver produces cholesterol, but it is also a byproduct of the food that you eat.
Stress, injuries and other aspects that negatively affect the body produces excess cholesterol as a healing response.
Many chronic or long-term health conditions will spike cholesterol levels and put you at risk of heart disease and stroke.
There are two types of cholesterol i.e Low-density lipoproteins [LDL (bad fats) and high-density lipoprotein [HDL] (good fats).

 

To reduce on cholesterol one needs to reduce on meat and milk intake plus junk foods and drinks. The sources of cholesterol may include ground nuts and avocado.

Foods to avoid when you have motion sickness: Beginning a day or two (2) days before your trip, avoid heavy foods.

 

Avoid fried, greasy or fatty foods. Fats only contribute to nausea and stomach upset. If you are going on a vacation, you may be in a celebratory mood.

 

Resist the temptation to drink even a little alcohol, because it is dehydrating and it can negatively affect the inner ear. Many people change their diets when they travel, but if you are subject to motion sickness, this is not the best time to try new foods or to indulge yourself with treats.

So this means you are eating less artery-clogging saturated fats.

Omega-3 fats in fish also improve blood flow by reducing inflammation in the arteries and making blood less likely to clot. They also boost the pupils and students capacity to get what is taught in classes.

How to gain human body weight: The normal Body Mass Index (BMI) is 18.5 to 25. The Body Mass Index of less that 18.5 are being underweight or undersize.

 

But one can gain his or her body weight by enriching his or her diet; eat foods that are rich in vitamins including fruits as well as milk and beans.

 

Foods rich in fats have the highest amount of calories. Also plant fats e.g. ground nuts, peanuts, butter and avocado have an advantage over animal fat. This is because these plants increase the level of good cholesterol.

 

Supplement plant fats with a little fish, eggs and dairy products. Also eat snacks rich in calories in between your major meals. These may include fruits, nuts, whole grain bread, biscuits and chocolates.

Fats form an important part of our diet but what matters most is how much and which sort of fats we should be eating for our health.

Fatty foods are high in calories. High intake of fats is linked with many health problems and it can lead to being overweight.

The people who love eating fats should reduce their intake of saturated fats as that can raise risks of heart diseases and high levels of cholesterol in blood.

Eating lots of foods associated with fats may lead to diseases that cause death according to medical researchers and doctors at Makerere University, Kampala.  Eating fatty foods means increased calorie intake, increased weight gain.

Healthy ways to lose weight are many. But in this news report we shall give you a few ways out of the very many.

Reduce intake of refined and sugary foods, eat less fat, and reduce food intake without giving up your favourite foods.

Walk at least 5kms in 45 minutes one time each day. Do regular exercise three to five times a week in order to burn fats.

Strength trainings can enhance muscle and more muscles will accelerate metabolism.

Reduce calories intake, try adding fruits to your diet instead of subtracting them. Satisfy your thirst with water, and vegetables.
